Recycling paper into beautiful, handcrafted paper sheets

We make the paper for our pots entirely in-house, recycling paper into beautiful, handcrafted paper sheets, which we use for the production of our pots.

Every day, people visit our factory gate to sell their old newspapers or scrap paper, and we offer them a fair price in return.

The old newspaper and scrap paper are mixed with water and ground into pulp. No chemicals are added to the pulp—only water is used.

The pulp is placed in a bath which is then used for paper-making. Our team of skilled ladies scoops the pulp onto a sieve, allowing the water to drain through.

To remove excess water, the sheets are placed in a press. Applying pressure squeezes out the water, leaving behind a wet sheet of paper. This is also the stage where we emboss patterns onto the paper.

The wet sheets of paper are then hung on racks to dry. The drying process takes 2 to 3 days, depending on the season.

Once the sheets of paper are completely dry, they are removed from the cotton cloth and are ready to be cut and used in the creation of our beautiful pots.
